The 225th Assault Regiment was placed under the operational command of the 7th Airborne Corps
The 225th Separate Assault Regiment has been placed under the operational command of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces.
According to a source in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this does not mean that the 225th Regiment has become part of the 7th Corps’ regular strength. The unit will carry out combat missions within the corps’ area of responsibility under the direction of its command.
The source explained that these changes should have a positive impact on coordination between the command and the units. Previously, assault regiments could carry out missions within the corps’ area of responsibility but were not under its command.
“Overall, these changes are positive, as they should improve coordination between the command and the units,” the source noted.
