78 clashes on the front: over a third in the Pokrovsk direction
Since the beginning of the day, there have been 78 combat engagements on the front between the Defense Forces and Russian invaders, 27 of which occurred in the Pokrovsk direction, the Main Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported as of 04:00 p.m. on December 7.
Russian artillery struck border settlements, including Klyusy, Zarichchya, Bohdanove in the Chernihiv region, and Korenek, Bobylivka, Yastrubshchyna, Shalyhyne, and Bunyakine in the Sumy region.
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the Russian army carried out 79 strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled two Russian attacks. The enemy is attempting to advance near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions.
In the Lyman direction, the Russian army carried out seven attacks on Ukrainian positions near Hrekivka, Derylove, Zarichne, Myrne, and in the directions of Oleksandrivka and Stavky. One engagement is ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled three attacks. Russian units attempted to advance near Yampil and Serebrianka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy made an unsuccessful attempt to break through Ukrainian defenses near Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces carried out 13 assault actions in the areas of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, and toward Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka; two engagements are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders made 27 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions toward Novyi Shakhove, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, and the areas of Novoekonomichne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachene. The Defense Forces repelled 21 attacks, and six engagements are ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russians are attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses near Yalta, Sosnivka, Verbove, Zlahoda, Krasnohirsk, Pryvilne, and Solodke. Nine enemy assaults were repelled.
In the Huliaipole direction, there were 13 combat engagements in the directions of Rybnoye, Dobropillia, Zelenyi, and Huliaipole; five engagements are ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out two attacks toward Novoandriivka and Prymorske, without success.
In the Dnipro direction, Russian forces unsuccessfully tried to approach Ukrainian defenders near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
On other directions, there were no significant changes.
