Analysts have identified the production site for Russian Harpia-A 1 drones
OSINT analysts have pinpointed the location of the production facilities where the Russian “Harpy-A 1” strike drone is manufactured. This drone was developed based on the design of the Iranian Shahed-136.
Analysts were able to identify the location of the facility where production of this Russian attack drone has been established.
He recalled how the Almaz-Antey concern recently published a promotional video featuring the export version of the “Harpyia-A1(E)” and the UAV-D.
The expert noted that outwardly, the “Harpia-A1” resembles the Russian “Geran,” but is manufactured by another enterprise in the Russian defense-industrial complex—the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant “Kupol.”

Dnipro OSINT emphasized that the video shows Building No. 12, which is used as a final assembly shop for UAVs.
The analyst also noted that in 2023, the Russian Ministry of Defense signed a contract worth over 1 billion rubles with the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant “Kupol” to launch production of the “Harpyia-A1.” On September 13, 2024, debris from this type of UAV was detected on Ukrainian territory for the first time.
Dnipro OSINT also emphasized that these drones have already been used on multiple occasions to carry out strikes against Ukraine. Specifically, on September 25, one of them struck a railway infrastructure facility in the Poltava region.
According to an OSINT analyst, the location of the production site was identified through a joint effort with geoinformatics experts from “CyberBoroshno.”
