Attack on Odesa: casualties reported, school and kindergartens damaged
On the night of 4 February, Odesa came under enemy fire, resulting in damage to more than 20 residential buildings, two childcare facilities, and one school.
According to the Head of the Odesa Military Administration, Serhii Lysenko, two people received medical assistance at the scene. The Primorskyi, Peresyp, and Khadzhibei districts were affected, with both residential and social infrastructure sustaining damage.
Municipal services have been working since early morning to eliminate the consequences of the attack, clearing debris and securing damaged infrastructure facilities. In addition, operational штаbs and heating points have been set up in Odesa for those affected.

International volunteer organisations are also involved in providing assistance, including consultations on receiving compensation under the eVidnovlennia (eRecovery) programme.
During the night of 4 February, Russian forces shelled Kharkiv, launching two missile strikes, one of which hit the Saltivskyi district.
On the same night, Odesa was attacked by Russian drones.
On the evening of 3 February, Russian forces carried out attacks across Ukraine using strike drones and tactical aviation. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded UAV activity over Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy region, and frontline areas of Donetsk region. Ukrainian defenders responded promptly to repel the attacks and ensure the security of the airspace.
As a reminder, on the evening of 3 February at around 6:00 p.m., a Russian drone strike on a residential district of Zaporizhzhia killed two 18-year-olds — a young man and a young woman. The number of injured rose to nine, including three children.
Later that evening, a Russian drone struck a private house in the village of Kamiana Yaruha in Kharkiv region. The attack caused a fire and damaged neighbouring homes, injuring a family with children.
