Russian attack on Lyptsivka: 72-year-old woman injured

Russian forces shelled the village of Lyptsivka in the Izium district of Kharkiv region.

As a result of the attack, a 72-year-old local resident, Zinka, was injured and immediately hospitalized for medical treatment. She sustained blast injuries and multiple wounds from shrapnel while near her home.

Residents of Lyptsivka frequently suffer from enemy shelling, as the village is on the frontline. Emergency responders quickly arrived to evacuate the injured woman and inspect the area for unexploded ordnance.

Neighbors describe Zinka as a strong-willed, community-minded woman who always helped her fellow villagers. The attack also damaged part of a fence and nearby outbuildings.

Russian forces have recently shelled dozens of settlements in Zaporizhzhia, and two people were killed in Dnipropetrovsk region during a nighttime drone strike.
