Russian attack on Odesa: DTEK energy facility damaged, thousands of homes left without power

On the night of January 19, Russian forces carried out a serious strike on one of DTEK’s energy facilities in Odesa.
This was reported by the DTEK press center.

Due to the shelling, a significant part of the city was left without electricity — currently, about 30,800 households are without power.

According to the energy company’s press service, the damage is extensive and will require prolonged restoration work.
“The destruction is significant, and the repair work will take a considerable amount of time to return the equipment to operational condition,” the DTEK statement reads.

Emergency crews are working around the clock at the site, already clearing debris and assessing the extent of the damage. After the initial work is completed, specialists will begin full-scale restoration of electricity supply.

The company emphasizes that the safety of its employees remains the top priority, as shelling in the region continues.

It should be noted that Russia also struck Kharkiv with ballistic missiles.
