HUR fighters carried out a raid behind enemy lines in Zaporizhzhia region and captured prisoners
In December 2025, Ukrainian intelligence officers carried out a successful raid deep behind enemy lines on the Zaporizhzhia axis, capturing prisoners.
This was reported on Telegram by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (HUR).
“During a special operation on the Zaporizhzhia axis, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Brotherhood unit from the Timur Special Unit carried out a deep raid in the area of the Kakhovka Reservoir,” the HUR said.
During the operation, military intelligence fighters eliminated two Russian occupiers, wounded two others and captured two. The prisoners were escorted for a distance of about 27 kilometres to territory controlled by Ukraine.
According to the HUR, the captured Russians provided valuable information about the locations of officers, artillery, drone operators, personnel, equipment and ammunition depots.
The operation also confirmed the presence of serious gaps in the enemy’s frontline defence system: the adversary does not expect active actions by Ukrainian intelligence units deep within its positions and is unable to effectively resist in the rear.
Russian occupation forces continue their offensive in Donetsk region. According to DeepState, the enemy has advanced in the areas of Fedorivka and Novomarkove in the Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts. A map of the advance has been published on the resource.
