A soldier from the 113th Brigade broke free from captivity and rescued a wounded comrade from the encirclement
Near Vovchansk, Mykola Shipulin, a soldier with the 1st Battalion of the 113th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, escaped from Russian captivity while his hands were tied, eliminated the invaders, and rescued a wounded comrade.
The occupiers had tied the Ukrainian soldier’s hands and were waiting for a convoy to take him for interrogation, but Shipulin managed to loosen the ropes, snatch an assault rifle from an enemy soldier, and neutralize the invaders. Afterward, he administered first aid to his wounded comrade and spent more than two days guiding him back to Ukrainian positions through enemy-controlled territory under heavy shelling.
The rescued comrade has already received the necessary medical care. The command of the 113th Brigade has submitted documents to award Mykola Shipulin the title of Hero of Ukraine.

Ukrainian defense forces have liberated Shandryholove and Derylove in the Donetsk region and established full control over Drobyshev. This was reported by Andriy Biletsky, commander of the Third Army Corps. According to him, this took place as part of the “Vivaldi” offensive operation.
