Russian troops continue their offensive in the Pokrovsk direction, attempting to capture key settlements, but the Defense Forces are holding them back and destroying enemy equipment.
This is reported by the Ukrainian military.
According to their data, Ukrainian units are holding their positions on the northern outskirts of Pokrovsk, while in the southeastern part, the occupiers are amassing heavy equipment, including tanks and artillery.
Enemy troop concentrations are being detected and struck, and the destruction of command posts and drone operator positions continues.
Active combat operations are also underway in the area of the village of Hryshyne, where Russian units are attempting to advance in small groups across fields and forest belts.
The enemy’s likely objective in this sector is to reach Vasylivka and Novooleksandrivka.
At the same time, military officials note the enemy’s logistical problems, particularly with food and medical supplies.
The Pokrovsk direction remains one of the hottest sectors of the front.
Total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as of April 24, 2026, amount to approximately 1,323,460 personnel. Over the past 24 hours alone, another 910 soldiers were lost.
Ukrainian drones destroyed three Russian anti-aircraft missile systems in a single night in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. The “Tor-M2” and “Osa” systems were hit and were unable to effectively repel the attack. The operation demonstrated that Russian air defense systems do not always manage to respond even at the moment their own missiles are launched.
