As a result of a large-scale attack on the oil refinery in Tuapse, 24 fuel storage tanks were destroyed or severely damaged. Analysis of satellite imagery from April 15 and 26 confirms significant damage to the facility’s tank farm, which burned for five days.

Veniamin Kondratyev, governor of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, stated that approximately 300 rescue workers were deployed to address the aftermath of the fire. Despite extensive damage to storage facilities, oil refining units located in the northern part of the plant were, according to preliminary data, not affected. This incident dealt another blow to Russia’s fuel and logistics capabilities in the southern region.
