Children are being evacuated en masse from Sevastopol due to intensified attacks and air defense operations
In the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol, local residents have begun evacuating their children en masse due to the deteriorating security situation amid airstrikes.
This was reported by “Krym.Realii” citing a local activist.
According to him, the turning point was a massive attack on the night of April 26. After that, many residents concluded that staying in the city had become dangerous.
Among the reasons cited are not only the strikes themselves but also the chaotic response of Russian air defense systems to drones flying over the city.
Local residents have begun sending their children to relatives without waiting for the holidays, and are increasingly discussing the need to impose a curfew.
Russian writer Platon Besedin, who lives in Sevastopol, also stated that the situation is worsening and the level of destruction is increasing.
On the night of April 25–26, air raid alerts were sounded three times in the city, and explosions were heard. There are reports of damage to military and infrastructure facilities.
According to the occupying authorities, one person was killed and four were injured. Dozens of residential buildings were damaged, and debris from a drone fell on a medical facility.
