Chernihiv region comes under fire again — man injured, infrastructure damaged

Over the past day, Chernihiv Region once again came under heavy shelling by Russian forces.

According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the aggressor opened fire on border communities in the region 35 times, with 39 explosions recorded.

The most intense attacks were carried out against settlements in the Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Koriukivka districts.

In the village of Semenivka, an enemy FPV drone attacked a civilian vehicle, injuring a 30-year-old local resident who was driving the car. The man was hospitalised, and doctors are providing the necessary medical care.

According to eyewitnesses, the strike was deliberate, once again demonstrating that the enemy is intentionally targeting civilian objects.

In Novhorod-Siverskyi District, a kamikaze drone strike caused a residential house to catch fire. Firefighters responded promptly and managed to extinguish the blaze; however, the building was partially destroyed. Fortunately, there were no fatalities.

In addition, within the Koriukivka community, the Russian army directed FPV drones at critical infrastructure facilities. As a result of the attacks, equipment and communications that support the daily life of local residents were damaged.

Emergency repair work to restore electricity and water supply is currently underway.

Kyiv was also attacked by drones and missiles from multiple directions, with air defence forces intercepting some of the targets.
