Chernihiv region shelled 56 times in a day: 83 explosions recorded
Over the past day, Russian forces struck two districts of Chernihiv region, using various types of weapons, according to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration.
In total, 56 shellings were recorded, resulting in 83 explosions.
Chaus noted that the attacks were combined in nature and occurred in waves.
The head of the OMA said the enemy used “Geran” drones, FPV drones, and mortars. The most noticeable consequences were recorded in Semenivka — after an FPV drone strike, a civilian car caught fire.
In one of the villages of the Novhorod-Siversky community, windows in several residential buildings were damaged by the blast wave and debris. No information about casualties was reported.
In another settlement, a warehouse of a company that was already inactive was damaged by a UAV strike.
Separately, in a village of Chernihiv district, a residential building was damaged after a drone strike.
Local authorities are clarifying the scale of the destruction and documenting the effects of the shelling. Residents of border communities are reminded to respond to air threats and not ignore warnings about danger.
