Ukrainian long-range strikes on Russian territory ranked second among the issues that most concern the population of the aggressor country. The standard of living remains in first place.
Major General Vadym Skibitsky, deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, noted that the very fact that Ukrainian deep strikes have emerged as one of the main concerns in sociological surveys indicates their real impact on Russian society.
According to him, Ukraine’s attacks on Russian oil refineries are already affecting budget revenues and the profits of large Russian businesses. The issue of crude oil exports is becoming a separate problem for Russia.
Skibitsky also discussed the consequences of Ukrainian “middlestrike” operations. These operations are disrupting the logistics of Russian troops in Crimea and in the occupied territories of southern Ukraine.
In particular, GUR units are destroying Russian radar stations, air defense systems, and command-and-control centers for troops and weapons. This allows Ukrainian forces to strike enemy military targets with greater precision.
According to Skibitsky, long-range strikes are one of the most effective ways to counter Russia, which has significantly greater resources.
