Two elderly men killed in Kherson region by explosives and drone attack
In the Kherson region, two elderly men died — one in Kherson city and one in the village of Mylove. One was killed by an explosion of a found munition, the other by a Russian drone attack.
This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
According to him, in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson, a 73-year-old man found an unknown explosive device on the street and brought it into his home. The munition detonated inside the house, resulting in fatal injuries.
Additionally, at around 03:15 p.m., Russian forces attacked a civilian car with a drone on a road in the Mylivska community. The 67-year-old driver was killed as the explosives dropped from the drone caused injuries incompatible with life.
Since early morning on January 2, Russian forces shelled one of Kherson’s heat generation facilities, which may cause interruptions in heating supply in the city.
Overall, due to Russian shelling in the Kherson region, one person died and six others were injured.
