Russian occupation forces carried out a new targeted strike using guided bombs on the Bilopillia community in Sumy region.
The attack was reported by Oleg Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
According to him, the enemy deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure, causing extensive destruction. Local authorities are inspecting damaged facilities and responding to the aftermath of the airstrike.
Preliminary reports indicate that several residential buildings, an educational facility, and other structures essential to the community’s functioning were destroyed or damaged. Several civilian vehicles near the explosion sites were also destroyed. Fires broke out during the strike but were promptly extinguished by emergency services.
Fortunately, there are no reported casualties among the civilian population.
Hryhorov reminded that Russian aviation had already attacked this area with guided bombs last week, damaging infrastructure and private homes. He emphasised that Russia continues deliberate strikes on peaceful communities in an attempt to destroy essential services and intimidate the population.
Regional authorities are documenting every instance of destruction and passing the information to law enforcement agencies for further recording of Russia’s war crimes.
For context, Russia also attacked a critical infrastructure facility in Vinnytsia. Reports have been released on the effects of attacks on the Left Bank of Kyiv and on Kyiv during a night strike. As a result of continued enemy shelling, key water supply facilities in Kyiv have been partially de-energised.
