Video: Defence Forces strike ‘Molniya’ UAV manufacturing plant in Taganrog
Footage has been released online showing a recent strike on the production facilities of the Russian Atlant Aero plant in Taganrog, Rostov region.
This was reported by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Navy, the strike confirmed the destruction of several production workshops at the facility. The Atlant Aero plant specialised in the manufacture of Molniya strike-reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as components for Orion UAVs, which are actively used by Russian forces.
“At present, the destruction of several production workshops at the Atlant Aero plant has been confirmed. The enterprise manufactured Molniya strike-reconnaissance UAVs and components for Orion UAVs for the Russian military,” the Naval Forces said in a statement.
The strike was the result of a joint operation carried out in recent days by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Alpha Special Operations Centre unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
The publication of video footage and photographic evidence of the strike indicates a precise hit on key facilities of the plant, which will significantly affect Russia’s ability to produce and repair these types of drones.
Such an operation is another example of the systematic destruction of Russia’s military-industrial base in the rear, particularly enterprises that supply occupying forces with strike UAVs.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported significant losses among Russian forces, which as of 16 January 2026 have exceeded 1.22 million personnel.
