FPV drones and artillery strike Nikopol region (Photos)
On December 18, the Nikopol area experienced over fifty attacks by Russian forces. The enemy used FPV drones and artillery against the district center and surrounding communities, causing damage to infrastructure and residential buildings, according to Vladyslav Haivanenko, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
The shelling affected the district center, Pokrovska, Marhanetska, and Myrivska communities. Under attack were a municipal enterprise, a gas station, a shop, a multi-story building, 12 private homes, 7 outbuildings, vehicles, a gas pipeline, and power lines.
“Nikopol region endured over fifty attacks by FPV drones and artillery throughout the day,” Haivanenko said.
In Kamianske, the enemy also deployed drones, causing damage to one of the industrial facilities.
According to Operational Command “East”, Ukrainian air defenders shot down four enemy UAVs, partially mitigating the destruction.
