General Staff: There were 277 engagements on the front lines over the past 24 hours, with the most occurring in the Pokrovsk sector
Over the past 24 hours, 277 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines in Ukraine. Russian troops launched their most intense assaults in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 44 enemy attacks.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian forces carried out 91 airstrikes and dropped 331 guided bombs over the past 24 hours.
In addition, the occupiers deployed 10,913 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,117 shelling attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas.
In the Sumy region, the towns of Korenok, Tovstodubove, Pysarivka, Ulanove, Khotin, Yastrubshchyna, Sadky, Myropillia, and Ivolzhanske came under artillery fire from Russian troops. The enemy also carried out airstrikes on the areas of Vilna Sloboda and Bereza.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces’ air force, missile forces, and artillery struck one area where enemy personnel were concentrated, six artillery systems, two drone command posts, and one anti-aircraft missile system.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy assaults.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks. Russian troops attempted to advance in the areas of Kozacha Lopana, Lyman, and Starytsia, as well as in the directions of Shyroke and Chugunivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, the occupiers attacked Ukrainian military positions three times in the areas of Petropavlivka and Novoosynove.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attempted to breach the defenses five times. The attacks took place in the areas of Lyman and Dibrova, as well as in the direction of Novoselivka.
In the Sloviansk direction, Russian troops carried out one assault operation toward Piskunivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers carried out one attack toward Fedorivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops launched seven attacks. Assault operations continued in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Dovha Balka.
The enemy was most active in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 44 attacks by Russian troops.
The enemy operated in the areas of Bilytske, Serhiivka, Udachne, and Molodetske, and also attempted to launch assaults in the directions of Dorozhne, Mykolaypillya, Vodyanske, Nadiya, Vasylivka, Toretsk, Novohryhorivka, Stepiv, Hannivka, Dobropillia, Shevchenko, Svitlyi, and Matyashiv.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the occupiers carried out two attacks in the directions of Radisne and Rybne.
In the Hulyaypil sector, Russian troops attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 10 times. The enemy attempted to advance in the area of Hirky, as well as in the directions of Rizdvyanka, Ternuvate, and Charivne.
Meanwhile, in the Orikhiv and Dnipro sectors over the past day, Russian troops did not carry out any assault operations.
As of the morning of September 10, 2026, the Russian army’s total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion amount to approximately 1,502,390 soldiers. In the past 24 hours alone, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia lost another 1,520 service members.
The day before, 221 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. The enemy launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where the Defense Forces repelled 21 assaults, and Russian troops lost more than 60 occupiers.
Defense Forces struck a Russian boat in Sevastopol.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region due to an attack by the Russian Federation.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
Later, rescue workers showed the aftermath of the strikes on Kyiv.
