HUR eliminates Russian war criminal with the callsign “Psykh”

Ukraine’s Defence Forces have eliminated a Russian war criminal involved in the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war and the killing of civilians.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.

The body of the eliminated militant was discovered by HUR special forces at one of the occupying troops’ positions.

The killed individual was identified as Sergey Zotov, a citizen of the Russian Federation born in 1990, who used the callsign “Psykh” (“Madman”). He cynically referred to his position as a “grave”.

According to intelligence data, Zotov served in the 35th Motorised Rifle Brigade of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Russian Armed Forces.
Before his death, Zotov boasted of holding the rank of senior lieutenant and the position of head of a deserter search group — effectively the commander of a so-called blocking detachment, whose task was to prevent Russian soldiers from retreating from the battlefield.

In his private correspondence, he did not hide his brutality and openly admitted to crimes against Ukrainians.
As noted by HUR, “Psykh” took pride in the fact that his name appeared on public lists of Ukrainian war criminals. Such demonstrative arrogance only further confirmed his involvement in bloody crimes against civilians and prisoners of war.

However, according to intelligence officers, justice caught up with Zotov without a court trial — he was eliminated by Ukrainian fighters on the front line.
