Ukrainian Intelligence Publishes List of Foreign Equipment Used in Russian Defense Industry
The Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) has released data on 66 units of foreign technological equipment used by Russian defense enterprises for weapons production.
The information was published in the “Tools of War” section on the War&Sanctions portal, intended to increase international pressure on suppliers of critical technologies.
The updated list includes high-tech lathes, milling and grinding machines, and modern CNC machining centers. In addition, intelligence identified the use of foreign equipment for manufacturing printed circuit boards, vibration test stands, and specialized temperature chambers.
This equipment is produced by leading companies from Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Austria, and Switzerland.
HUR specifically highlights 15 Russian defense enterprises recently added to the list, including manufacturers of components for 9M727 cruise missiles of the Iskander system. Among them are the Tambov plant Elektronpribor, the Volga Electromechanical Plant, and JSC Orbita, which so far have avoided international sanctions.
Russian defense production continues to function thanks to access to Western technologies through complex supply chains in third countries. Lack of proper end-user controls enables Russia to acquire new equipment and maintain existing production lines for lethal weapons.
HUR emphasizes the need to implement radical export control measures. Intelligence proposes mandatory use of GPS trackers, without which equipment cannot operate, and regular on-site inspections by manufacturer representatives. Strict regulation of the used industrial equipment market is also recommended.
Previously, HUR revealed the production schemes of the Russian Krasnopol-M2 guided projectile and exposed individuals involved in the deportation of children from occupied territories.
