Russia has attacked the Kharkiv region; there are civilian casualties
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have shelled at least 18 settlements in the Kharkiv region, resulting in civilian casualties. Both frontline communities and settlements deeper within the region came under attack, with homes and infrastructure damaged. This was reported on Telegram by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Russian strikes simultaneously hit 18 settlements at once, damaging civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and commercial facilities, leaving behind destruction and human casualties.
According to Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, “over the past 24 hours, the city of Kharkiv and 18 settlements in the Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy strikes; as a result of the shelling, two people were killed and four were injured,” which confirms the scale of the attack and its consequences for the civilian population.
The village of Bilyi Kolodyazh in the Vovchanska community was hit hardest, where a 65-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were killed, and another local resident was wounded, while in Shestakove, a 46-year-old man was injured; these cases once again demonstrate that ordinary people in their homes are caught in the crossfire. In Zolochiv, a 67-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction; in Husynka, a 34-year-old man was injured; and another incident occurred during humanitarian demining in Vinopil, where a local resident was also injured, underscoring the constant danger even outside of direct attacks.
According to the Regional Military Administration, the enemy actively used various types of weaponry, including “Geran-2” and “Molniya” drones, FPV drones, and other unmanned systems; the strikes damaged private homes, power lines, warehouses, farms, and vehicles.
In parallel with the shelling in the Kharkiv region, combat operations continued, with a total of 291 clashes recorded over the past 24 hours, particularly in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna and Kupiansk directions, where Ukrainian troops repelled numerous enemy advances, holding their positions despite constant pressure.
In the Kherson region over the past day, 21 people were wounded as a result of Russian shelling, and the region came under massive attacks by drones, artillery, and aircraft.
On the night of May 30, Russian troops launched a massive drone strike on the Shostka community in Sumy Oblast, damaging residential buildings and infrastructure.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 911 strikes on 40 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers used aircraft, artillery, and hundreds of drones, damaging residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure.
