Russia still provides no evidence of “Attack” on Putin’s residence — Sybiga

Nearly a full day has passed, and Russia has yet to provide any credible evidence for its accusations that Ukraine allegedly “attacked” Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s residence, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga on X .

“And they won’t. Because there isn’t any. No such attack occurred,” Sybiga emphasized.

He expressed surprise at the concern from the UAE, India, and Pakistan over an event that did not happen.

“It is particularly surprising given that all three countries made no official statements when a real Russian missile struck an actual Ukrainian government building on 7 September 2025,” Sybiga added.

The minister also highlighted Russia’s long record of false claims:

“For example, Russia claimed it would not attack Ukraine at the beginning of 2022. They often accuse others of what they themselves plan to do. Their words should never be taken at face value.”

Sybiga urged countries to refrain from reacting to unverified accusations, noting that responding would play into Russian propaganda and undermine the constructive peace process that has been progressing recently.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has already refuted the Kremlin’s claims about a strike on Putin’s residence.

Ukrainian authorities interpret the Kremlin’s statement as an attempt by Putin to sabotage peace negotiations.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump noted that such an attack would have been inappropriate during negotiations, if it had actually occurred.

The Kremlin itself could not specify Putin’s location during the alleged “attack” at Valdai.
