Hackers claimed that Belarusian universities are preparing to house reservists
The Ukrainian hacker group “256th Cyber Assault Division” claimed to have obtained internal documents indicating that at least three educational institutions in the Grodno Region of Belarus are preparing to temporarily house mobilized reservists.
The hackers reported this on their Telegram channel, publishing copies of official letters and calculations dated late June 2026. According to the published documents, the institutions in question are Grodno State Agrarian University, Grodno College of Economics and Management, and Lida State Music College.
The documents state that the educational institutions are complying with the decisions of local authorities and providing information on the possibility of using their facilities for the temporary assembly, accommodation, and overnight stay of reservists subject to military service.
In particular, Grodno State Agrarian University reported its readiness to accommodate 487 reservists in sports halls and auditoriums and requested the provision of folding beds, mattresses, bedding, and other necessary supplies.
According to the documents, Grodno College of Economics and Management can accommodate 369 people. To house them, the institution also requested folding beds, mattresses, bedding sets, bottled water, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies.
The Lida State Music College has announced its readiness to accommodate 30 reservists in its dormitory. Additionally, the documents indicate that, if necessary, capacity can be increased by removing the audience seats in the concert hall.
Overall, according to the published materials, the three educational institutions can simultaneously accommodate approximately 900 reservists.
At the same time, the “256th Cyber Assault Division” asserts that the preparation of civilian facilities to accommodate reservists may indicate the further militarization of Belarus’s border regions near the borders with Poland and Lithuania. There is currently no independent confirmation of the authenticity of the published documents or any official comments from the Belarusian authorities regarding this information.

As a reminder, on July 10, Andriy Demchenko, a spokesperson for Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service, stated that Belarus continues to expand its military infrastructure near the border with Ukraine, although no strike force has been detected on its territory at this time.
Lukashenko stated that Belarusian military personnel will not take part in the war against Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that one should not be naive about Belarus’s role in Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to him, Minsk is under strong influence from Moscow, and most of the Belarusian government’s decisions are effectively dictated by the Kremlin.
