Kremlin propagandist counted Russian “dead” – numbers don’t add up
Retired Captain 3rd Rank and well-known Kremlin turbo-patriot Maksym Klimov publicly drew attention to discrepancies between the number of Russians who signed contracts with the Russian army and the reported size of the Russian military group in Ukraine.
In a video posted on social media, Klimov conducts his own mathematical calculations and wonders where about 1.5 million Russian soldiers have gone.
“Retired Captain 3rd Rank and turbo-patriot Maksym Klimov performs mathematical calculations and asks: where did one and a half million ‘extra Russian people’ disappear?” reads the comment accompanying the post.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated statistics on Russian troop losses as of December 23, 2025. Since the start of the full-scale aggression on February 24, 2022, estimated enemy losses reached approximately 1,199,280 personnel, of which 1,420 were lost in the past 24 hours.
