A Crimean hotel promised guests free gas, but canceled the promotion after four days

A spa hotel in the city of Saki in occupied Crimea launched a promotion promising to give guests 10 to 20 liters of gasoline for booking rooms for two to three nights, but shut down the initiative just four days later due to a fuel shortage.

The “Le-Di” hotel announced the launch of the offer on June 5, promising to provide fuel upon guests’ request during check-in.

According to a hotel representative, they managed to give guests a total of only 100 liters of gasoline—10 liters for every 10 rooms booked.

Currently, instead of fuel, customers are being offered reimbursement for travel expenses or a free shuttle service. In addition, one of the sanatoriums in Alushta is currently offering similar compensation for gasoline expenses to guests staying for five days or more.

This was reported by the publication “Ostrozhno, Novosti,” citing the facility’s social media accounts.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, fuel problems could escalate into a much more serious crisis. Due to logistical difficulties on the peninsula, prices have already begun to rise, lines are forming, and residents are actively stocking up on essential goods.

The shortage of automotive fuel, which was previously observed in the temporarily occupied Crimea, has begun to spread to the southern regions of the Russian Federation. Residents of the Krasnodar Krai and the Rostov Oblast are reporting shortages of gasoline and diesel fuel.
