Laura Lumer called Ukraine an ally of the U.S. and urged support to help defeat Russia
American conservative influencer Laura Lummer called Ukraine an ally of the United States and urged people to help Ukrainians defeat the Russian Federation—the aggressor state. She made these remarks in an interview with *Ukrainska Pravda*.
Lumer stated that if Russia were to seize Ukraine, she believes it would attempt to attack other neighboring European countries and eventually go to war with NATO. “I think it’s cheaper and more effective to help defeat Russia now than to wage a full-scale war later, when Russia decides to build its vast empire on steroids even more aggressively,” she said.
According to the influencer, the invasion of Ukraine would only encourage Russia to expand further. She also called on Americans to rethink who to consider friends and enemies of the U.S.

“If Russia is supplying weapons to Iran to kill American soldiers, while Ukrainians are helping us manufacture drones to bolster our stockpiles, this clearly shows me that Ukraine is our ally and Russia is our enemy,” Lumer stated.
Laura Lumer arrived in Ukraine on July 21. She had previously criticized Ukraine and echoed key narratives of Russian propaganda, but she publicly acknowledged that she was wrong and has changed her views. She also said in the interview that she would advise U.S. President Donald Trump to visit Ukraine.
