Since the start of the day, Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 81 times. The enemy’s most intense activity was recorded in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Sloviansk sectors.
According to military reports as of 4:00 p.m. on July 28, the Russian army also continues to shell border areas in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The settlements of Potapivka, Neskuchne, Tovstodubove, Korenok, Sopych, Rohizne, Hirky, Bachivsk, Volfyne, Klyusi, Senkivka, and Naberezhne came under fire. In addition, the occupiers carried out an airstrike on Sumy.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropped four bombs, and conducted 36 shelling attacks.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the occupiers launched 11 attacks near Starytsia, Lyman, and in the direction of Chaykivka, Kozacha Lopana, Izbytske, Aniskine, and Ambarne.
In the Kupiansk direction, there was one attack toward Shyikivka.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched seven attacks toward Drobysheve, Lyman, Ozerny, and near Novoselivka and Novomykhailivka. Three firefights are ongoing.
In the Sloviansk sector, the Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Riznykivka, and in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Piskunivka. One battle is ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks near Pryvillia, Nykyforivka, and in the direction of Malynivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, defenders repelled 15 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and in the direction of Stepanivka. One engagement is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the occupiers launched 18 attacks near Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Molodetskyi, Novooleksandrivka, and in the direction of Toretsk, Novopavlivka, Kucherove Yar, Vilne, Svitle, Shevchenko, and Matyashove. One battle is ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks in the direction of Kosivtseve, Vozdvizhivka, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, Charivne, and Novoselivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, one enemy attack is ongoing in the Stepove area.
In the Dnipro and other sectors, there have been no significant changes in the situation; no enemy offensive operations or attempts to advance have been recorded.

As a reminder, in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, drone operators destroyed a Russian tank.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck four fuel infrastructure facilities in Russia’s Stavropol Krai and also hit three tankers belonging to Russia’s “shadow fleet” in the Black Sea.
