Massive drone attack on Ukraine: air defense destroys over 130 targets
Last night, Russia carried out another large-scale attack on Ukrainian territory, deploying 153 strike drones.
This was reported via the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.
Enemy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other modifications, approached from seven different directions. The attack was organized from the Russian cities of Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, as well as from the occupied Chauda and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
The Ukrainian Air Force responded promptly to the threat, using all available air defense assets. Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups were involved in repelling the attack.
Coordinated efforts by different units of the Defense Forces allowed them to effectively counter the massive raid. Thanks to the well-coordinated actions of the military, potential damage from the enemy strike was minimized.
As of 09:00, air defense forces had destroyed or suppressed 133 enemy drones over northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country. Meanwhile, 17 strike drones hit 10 different locations across Ukraine.
At the time of the report, the air alert was still ongoing — several enemy UAVs remained in the sky, and citizens were urged to follow safety protocols.
