The Foreign Ministry identified the purpose of Russia's strike on data centers in Kyiv
During a massive attack on September 23, Russia struck Ukrainian data centers in an attempt to disrupt the operation of air threat warning systems. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.
According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, data centers are part of critical civilian infrastructure, as they provide citizens with access to real-time information about missile and drone attacks so they can take shelter in a timely manner.
Sybiga emphasized that these facilities are not military targets, and that the enemy seeks to destabilize society and exert pressure on the civilian population. To stop such attacks, the diplomat called on international partners to intensify sanctions pressure on Russia and increase the supply of missile defense systems.
