Nearly 14,000 people remain in frontline communities in Donetsk region
In Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka and other communities of Donetsk region officially designated as active combat zones, around 13,800 civilians continue to live there.
This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Administration.
According to Dmytro Petlin, a representative of the Department for Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense Work, nearly 4,000 residents currently remain in the city of Kostiantynivka. Over the past week, more than 300 people were evacuated from the community.
No one was evacuated from Pokrovsk and the Pokrovsk community during the past week. According to the latest data, 1,250 civilians remain in the city.
Across the government-controlled territory of Donetsk region, 12,642 children remain. In the two settlements where forced evacuation of families with children is currently underway, 383 children reside.
In the city of Druzhkivka, 379 children remain, and in the village of Komyshuvakha of the Kramatorsk community — 4 children.
According to Yuliia Ryzhakova, head of the Children’s Services Department, 38 children were evacuated over the past week — one from Komyshuvakha and the rest from Druzhkivka.
Overall, the Donetsk Regional Administration notes that in recent days there has been a decrease in the number of people willing to leave Donetsk region.
