July 25 has been declared a Day of Mourning in the Kyiv region for those who died as a result of the Russian missile strike that occurred on July 24.
This was announced by Ruslan Oliinyk, acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration. According to him, Russian troops struck a location where people were present. Civilians were killed as a result of the attack.
“Every such loss is an indescribable pain for families and loved ones and a shared pain for the entire Kyiv region,” Oliinyk emphasized.
On the Day of Mourning, the National Flag of Ukraine and the flag of the Kyiv region will be flown at half-mast throughout the region. Entertainment events will also be restricted.
The regional governor expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and noted that the aggressor state will certainly be held accountable for every crime committed against Ukrainians.

As a reminder, on July 24 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Russian troops struck the Kyiv region with three “Iskander-M”/S-400 ballistic missiles from the north. Air defense forces intercepted one missile; the other two struck the Bucha district.

Cleanup efforts following the Russian ballistic strike are ongoing in the Kyiv region. In the Bucha district, 27 private homes and 44 vehicles were damaged as a result of the shelling.
On the afternoon of July 24, Russia launched a ballistic strike on a private training ground in the Kyiv region, where an event involving representatives of the Ukrainian defense industry was taking place. At least 10 people were killed in the attack, and about 100 more were injured. Law enforcement authorities have opened two criminal investigations—one regarding a war crime committed by the Russian Federation and the other regarding possible official negligence during the organization of the event.
