A kindergarten and residential buildings were damaged in the Kyiv region following a nighttime attack by Russia
Overnight, Russian troops attacked settlements in the Kyiv region using drones. Residential buildings and educational facilities were targeted.
This was reported by Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
According to preliminary data, damage was reported at a kindergarten in the Fastiv district, where the attack caused a roof fire. Windows were shattered in a nearby four-story residential building, and two private homes were also damaged.
Authorities report that there is no information regarding civilian casualties. All emergency services are on the scene; firefighting operations are underway, along with debris removal and damage assessment.
Mykola Kalashnyk noted that residents whose property was damaged will receive the necessary assistance:
“We will not leave people to face this disaster alone. Everyone who has suffered damage will receive the necessary support and assistance to restore their homes. I am grateful to everyone who stands guard over the Kyiv region every night and helps people in the aftermath of the attack,” he emphasized.
As a result of the attack, a kindergarten was damaged (roof fire), a high-rise building was damaged (windows shattered), and two private homes were destroyed or damaged; no casualties have been reported, and cleanup efforts are ongoing
The situation in the region remains under control, but recovery efforts are ongoing.
