The Center for Political Analysis stated that the Kremlin is preparing the Russian National Guard for a new wave of mobilization
For the first time, the Russian National Guard has included provisions in its civil defense regulations regarding actions to be taken during mobilization, martial law, and wartime. On July 27, the Center for Countering Disinformation reported that these changes may indicate that the Kremlin is preparing for a new wave of mobilization measures in Russia.
The Center emphasizes that these steps indicate that the Kremlin’s security apparatus is preparing in advance to suppress potential mass protests following the announcement of mobilization.
“Despite attempts to conceal the true scale of the problems on the front lines, systematic updates to legislation and the development of military training grounds indicate preparations for a new wave of conscription in the Russian Federation,” the Center reported.
As a reminder, Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region, damaging a gas station and a resort.
The WOG gas station chain in Kyiv and the Kyiv region will temporarily suspend nighttime operations due to the increased risk of enemy shelling.
