In Russia, an acupuncture doctor left fragments of needles in a patient's body
In Krasnoyarsk (Russian Federation), a woman sought medical attention complaining of acute pain in her leg and an inability to walk normally after attending an acupuncture session.
An X-ray examination revealed at least 10 needle fragments in the soft tissues of her leg, which a quack had left behind during the procedure.
The patient is currently undergoing a course of antibiotic therapy and anti-inflammatory treatment. If medication proves ineffective, she will require complex surgery to remove the small metal fragments.
