In the Kupiansk sector, drones from the 77th Brigade destroyed the occupiers' multiple rocket launchers
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed a Russian multiple-launch rocket system. The combat vehicle was detected by drone operators from the 77th Separate Airborne Dnieper Brigade, who then delivered several precision strikes against it.
In the Kupiansk sector, soldiers of the 77th Separate Airborne Naddnipriansky Brigade of the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Forces destroyed a Russian multiple launch rocket system. The military released a video of the combat operation on the brigade’s official channels. According to the unit, drone operators were the first to detect the target. Afterward, several precision strikes were delivered against the Russian combat vehicle.
As a result of the attack, the MLRS caught fire, and its ammunition subsequently detonated. The released footage shows the vehicle bursting into flames after being hit, with the explosions completely destroying it. The brigade emphasized that paratroopers of the 77th Brigade, part of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Forces, continue to detect and destroy key weapons systems of the Russian army. “Paratroopers of the 77th Brigade, part of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Forces, continue to effectively detect and destroy key enemy weapons systems, thwarting the enemy’s plans and saving the lives of Ukrainian military personnel and civilians,” the unit stated.
Military officials explain that the destruction of a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) significantly weakens the capabilities of Russian forces in this sector of the front. It is precisely this type of equipment that the occupiers use to launch massive strikes against Ukrainian positions and frontline settlements. After losing the MLRS, the enemy will have to find a replacement or redeploy equipment from other sectors. This could complicate new attacks and reduce the intensity of shelling in the Kupiansk area.
Ukrainian defenders continue to actively use attack drones to target enemy equipment. Such operations allow them to destroy the enemy’s expensive weaponry, reducing its firepower without putting Ukrainian troops at direct risk. Video footage of the combat engagement was released by the 77th Brigade.
As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, 244 combat engagements took place on the front lines. Ukrainian troops continue to repel the advance of Russian occupation forces, inflicting losses on the enemy in both personnel and equipment.
On the night of July 14, Russian forces launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine, using ballistic missiles, guided air-to-ground missiles, and attack drones. Air defense forces intercepted five ballistic missiles, two Kh-59/69 missiles, and 108 enemy drones.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s unmanned aerial systems have struck or destroyed 1,559 Russian military targets, including 15 enemy vessels.
