“Shahed” drones dropped mines near a railway in the Rivne region
In the Rivne region, two anti-tank mines were discovered at one of the railway stations. They were likely dropped by Russian drones during recent air raid alerts.
This was reported by the Rivne Regional Police.
While inspecting the station area, an employee noticed suspicious objects near the tracks. Explosive ordnance disposal specialists were called to the scene and had to walk about three kilometres along the railway line to reach the munitions.

Police identified the mines as PTM-3 anti-tank mines equipped with magnetic target sensors that respond to changes in the magnetic field, making their transportation dangerous. The bomb disposal experts destroyed the mines on site by means of a controlled detonation.
SBU investigators have launched a pre-trial investigation. Police urge citizens not to approach suspicious objects and to report such findings by calling 102 or 112.
Earlier, Ukraine recorded for the first time the use of a “Shahed”-type attack drone equipped with a man-portable air defence system, indicating the emergence of a new and dangerous tactic in the use of enemy drones.
Russian forces also carried out a large-scale attack using Shahed-131/136 drones on critical infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region, leaving some settlements without electricity.
