UAF destroy four Russian self-propelled air defense systems in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions
On the night of Friday, 6 March, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck four self-propelled components of Russian air defense on temporarily occupied territories in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
This was reported by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.
“The Buk SAM in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region and the medium-range S-300V SAM in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region were taken out by the ‘Ptakhi 9’ battalion ‘Kairos’ 414th Separate Brigade ‘Ptakhi Madyara’ using the FP-2 middle strike UAV of Ukrainian production with a 60 kg warhead,” he said.
“The Pantsir-S1 and Tor SAM systems were destroyed by pilots of the 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center using the FP-2 middle strike UAV of Ukrainian production with a 100 kg warhead,” Brovdi added. Both complexes were located in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region.
Ukrainian defenders regularly report the successful destruction of expensive enemy equipment and aircraft using drones, highlighting the effectiveness of modern unmanned systems in countering the occupiers.
Recently, fighters from the Lazar’s Group, together with the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Achilles” and units of the Joint Forces, detected and neutralized a Russian S-400 Triumph surface-to-air missile system.
Fighters of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great also struck enemy equipment and drones in the Kupiansk direction.
