Ukraine's largest steel mill has partially halted operations following an attack by Russia

As a result of the Russian Federation’s nighttime attack on August 16 on the ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih plant, two people were killed, and another 13 employees of the plant and contractor organizations were injured.

The strike damaged key production facilities in the power generation and blast furnace operations, forcing the suspension of some production processes. Search and rescue operations are ongoing at the plant, and experts are assessing the extent of the damage and the potential timeline for recovery.

The company emphasized that the facility is a civilian site in the mining and metallurgical industry.
