A scandal has erupted around the 108th Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces due to the prolonged deployment of troops to their positions

Servicemen of the 108th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade have been carrying out combat missions in the Zaporizhzhia sector for more than six months without rotation. Due to logistical challenges, the defenders are facing an acute shortage of essential supplies, including food, drinking water, and medicine.

Servicemen of the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade, who are under the operational command of the 118th Mechanized Brigade, recorded a video appeal calling for help.

According to them, the soldiers have been holding their positions for 3 to 9 months straight without rotation. Due to cut-off supply routes, it has become extremely difficult to deliver provisions and medical supplies.

The defenders’ families report that their health is in critical condition. They note that due to a lack of food—which is mostly delivered via drones—the soldiers are severely exhausted.

In addition, there are soldiers among the troops who suffer from serious illnesses and the aftereffects of microstrokes and who require medical care.

The Regional Command of the "East" Operational-Tactical Group stated that it is aware of the situation and is taking measures to support the unit.

In particular, additional UAV crews have been deployed to deliver water, provisions, ammunition, and fuel by air.

The command cites the security situation as the main factor complicating the rotation.

"The main obstacle to the immediate withdrawal of personnel remains the extremely difficult security situation—heavily mined access routes and constant fire from enemy FPV drones," the statement from the "East" Operational-Tactical Group reads.

The command also added that it is doing everything possible to protect the lives and health of service members.

This was reported by ZAXID.NET and the Regional Directorate of the "East" Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, Syrskyi spoke about the number of soldiers who have been on the front lines for over 200 days without rotation.

Russia is considering several scenarios for new offensive operations against Ukraine. According to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, one of the most likely directions could be the Chernihiv region, where the occupiers may attempt to break through from the territory of Russia’s Bryansk region.
