Names of Russian commanders dismissed after failed offensive in Zaporizhzhia revealed

In the Zaporizhzhia region, several Russian commanders have been dismissed due to ineffectiveness during offensive operations.

According to information from LIGA.net, provided by the spokesperson for Ukraine’s Southern Defence Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, Colonel Ruslan Nazarenko of the 19th Motor Rifle Division has been removed from his post, along with Robert Zykov, commander of the 429th Division.

“These are specifically the commanders who were operating in the Orikhiv and Huliaipole directions,” Voloshyn noted.

A few days earlier, another commander was dismissed — Oleksandr Nilov of the 90th Tank Division. His performance was also deemed unsatisfactory, with the official wording stating he was removed “for failure to carry out the task of seizing territory in the Dnipropetrovsk region”.

At present, the Russian army continues to redeploy units to the Zaporizhzhia front, as the pace of their offensive operations has proven to be extremely low — lower than in other military conflicts of recent centuries.
