Occupiers deploy drones at ultra-low altitude under manual control
Russian forces have begun actively using a new drone tactic — flying at ultra-low altitudes under the manual control of an operator.
This was reported by Serhii Beskrestnov (Flash), Adviser to the Minister of Defence on technological matters, via his Telegram channel.
According to him, the enemy constantly changes tactics and seeks new ways to strike Ukrainian military targets. One of the latest techniques involves flying drones just a few dozen metres above the ground, making them much harder for air defence systems to detect.
These drones are manually controlled and can approach targets while remaining virtually undetected.
Beskrestnov noted that technological solutions to counter this threat already exist and will be deployed in the near future. However, until full implementation, he urged troops to strengthen security measures at their positions.
He recommended establishing remote visual and auditory observation posts and being ready to intercept enemy drones with both mobile and stationary protective units.
It is recalled that Chinese microchips have allowed Russia to improve its combat drones. On the night of 29 January, Ukrainian air defence forces shot down 84 enemy drones.
