Occupiers attacked a hospital in Kryvyi Rih with "Bandera" rockets; there are wounded
On the morning of October 6, Russian troops struck a hospital in Kryvyi Rih with “Banderole”-type loitering munitions. The attack left several people wounded, including a hospital employee. In addition, a fire broke out in the city center.
As of 10:42 a.m., three people in Kryvyi Rih had been injured as a result of the Russian strike on the hospital. Another woman is in moderate condition in the operating room. According to the head of the city’s Defense Council, she was walking her dog nearby when the Russian army struck the medical facility.
At 10:24 a.m., the head of the City Defense Council reported two people injured. According to him, Russian forces struck the grounds of one of the city’s hospitals. A hospital employee is currently in critical condition in the operating room. Doctors assess the condition of the other injured person as moderate.
As of 10:17 a.m., one person was reported injured as a result of the attack. Additionally, according to Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration, a fire broke out in the city center.
At 10:02 a.m., Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, confirmed the attack on the city. According to him, Russian forces struck the city center.
At 10:00 a.m., explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih. The day before, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that “Banderole”-type loitering munitions were heading toward the city.
Kryvyi Rih is switching to a conservation mode due to problems in the industrial sector.
ArcelorMittal, Ukraine’s largest steel mill, has halted operations due to Russian attacks.
From January through August 2026, Ukrainian steelmakers reduced exports of commercial pig iron by 16.4% compared to the same period last year, down to 1.03 million metric tons. In August, no pig iron was exported due to the blockade of ports.
As a reminder, Russia is destroying Ukraine’s steel industry, thereby eliminating a competitor in the EU market.
