Peskov says Russia will use entire arsenal to defend Kaliningrad — Anadolu Agency
In Russia, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian Federation — an aggressor state — would use its entire available weapons arsenal if the Kaliningrad region were threatened by other countries. As reported by Anadolu Agency, he said this on October 4 during a conversation with the outlet Vesti.
Statement on Kaliningrad
Peskov denied that Moscow had threatened to use nuclear weapons. According to him, Western countries presented the Kremlin's statement on the possible use of the entire available arsenal in response to a threat to the region in this way.
The Kremlin spokesperson also said that Russian authorities had heard statements in Poland and other countries that he described as statements by hotheads. He said that Moscow's position on defending the Kaliningrad region was not a threat.

Statements on the war against Ukraine
Speaking about the war against Ukraine, Peskov said that Russia would continue hostilities as long as Moscow considered a peaceful settlement impossible. At the same time, he said that Russia considered a negotiated settlement of the war a more desirable option.
Peskov also said that Russia was ready to fight even for 0.01% of the eastern part of Ukraine's Donetsk region. He called even such a share of territory part of the Russian Federation, although the Donetsk region is part of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
