After a UAV attack in Kuban, thousands of Russians were left without electricity (Video)

Russian authorities confirmed that drones struck an oil refinery in the city of Slavyansk-na-Kubani, Krasnodar Krai. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out at the facility, and thousands of local residents were left without power, according to Russian media.

After drone debris fell on the refinery, equipment components and pipelines caught fire. Immediately following the strike, approximately 38,800 people in the Slavyansk district were left without electricity. As of the morning, at least 12,700 residents remained without power, regional services reported.

Due to disruptions in electricity, water supply, and heating, 21 kindergartens and three schools temporarily stopped working, according to the Deputy Prime Minister of Krasnodar Krai. It was also reported that two people were injuredafter a drone fell in the same district. They were hospitalized, and their condition is being clarified.

Additionally, as a result of the night attack in Voronezh Oblast, power lines were damaged, causing electricity outages in several settlements.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that on the night of December 17, 94 drones were intercepted by air defense systems. According to official data, 31 were over Krasnodar Krai and 10 over Voronezh Oblast.
