Part of the Darnytska CHP will have to be rebuilt almost from scratch after the attack

Following the latest Russian attack, part of the facilities at the Darnytska Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP) was practically destroyed. Restoration work has already begun and is being carried out using the company’s own resources, according to Euro-Reconstruction LLC on Facebook. The company assures that the work is organized in stages, personnel are on site, and salaries are being paid on time. For security reasons, the cost and timeline of the reconstruction are not being disclosed.

The operator of the station, Euro-Reconstruction LLC, reported that restoration work started as soon as it was safe to access the site. After the large-scale attack, the station suffered serious damage, and some facilities had to be rebuilt almost entirely. “Restoration is proceeding systematically and in an organized manner. Work is carried out using the company’s financial and material resources,” the company stated.

According to representatives of the operator, the enterprise has mobilized its own reserves, signed contracts with contractors, and purchased key materials for repair. Some contracted organizations have already begun work.

The restoration is being carried out in stages. Priority is given to the most critical areas to stabilize operations as quickly as possible. At the same time, the site is being cleared of debris from the destruction. All personnel are involved in the work. The company emphasizes that the workforce has been fully retained. “All employees are engaged in restoration work and in ensuring process stability,” Euro-Reconstruction stated.

Despite the temporary suspension of production, the company’s shareholders have ensured the financial stability of the station. This allows repairs to proceed uninterrupted and social obligations to employees to be met. The company stresses that salaries are being paid in full and on time. However, the cost of restoration and exact completion dates are not disclosed. “Such information is sensitive due to security restrictions, as Darnytska CHP is a critical infrastructure facility,” the company explained.

They add that the enterprise operates in accordance with the requirements of security authorities and cannot detail technical aspects of the reconstruction. Euro-Reconstruction reminded that over four years of full-scale war, the station has survived almost 20 enemy attacks, yet never fully stopped operations. Previously, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschkoreported that during the latest attack, Darnytska CHP sustained critical damage. The station is one of the city’s key energy infrastructure facilities, so its stable operation directly affects the city’s heat and power supply.
