Water supplies were cut off in Konotop following a drone attack

Following a nighttime attack by Russian drones in Konotop, civilian infrastructure was damaged, and part of the city was left without water. Authorities report that water will not be available until at least this evening while restoration work continues. Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin announced this on Telegram.

In Konotop, the night was once again marked by the sounds of explosions and enemy drones striking the city’s civilian infrastructure, leaving some residents without basic utilities and creating new problems for the water supply system.

Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin reported that the attack occurred after 2 a.m., when Russian drones struck city infrastructure facilities; however, he said there were no fatalities or injuries. “Today, after 2 a.m., the Russians used kamikaze drones to strike our civilian infrastructure… Thank God there were no casualties or injuries. There will be no water in the Zhitlomasyv neighborhood for now. At least until this evening. The reason is the Russians and their terrorist actions. The guys from Vodokanal are already working on it,” he wrote on Telegram.

Due to the damage, part of the city, particularly residential areas, is temporarily without water, and utility services are already working to restore the system to get water back to residents as soon as possible.

City officials emphasize that the situation is under control, but restoration depends on the extent of the damage and the speed of repair work, which begins immediately after the aftermath of the attack is cleared.

Additionally, on May 25, Russian troops struck a building in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast, with guided aerial bombs; the building houses Branch No. 11 of the logistics company “Nova Poshta.”
