Following the attack on Kyiv, Germany pledged to step up pressure on Russia

Germany strongly condemned yet another massive Russian strike on Kyiv and announced its intention to increase pressure on the Kremlin. Officials in Berlin emphasized that Russia must be held accountable for its continued attacks against Ukraine, and that international pressure on Moscow will only intensify.

The German Foreign Ministry stressed that the shocking images of destruction in Kyiv following the massive attack “demonstrate once again that Russia is continuing its illegal war of aggression against Ukraine with unwavering brutality.”

“Putin shows no willingness to negotiate. He continues to resort to terror, using missiles and drones against the civilian population, while Russia is suffering enormous losses on the front lines during its aggression against Ukraine. Therefore, Germany, together with its partners, is stepping up the pressure on Russia even further,” the statement reads.

The German Foreign Ministry also pledges to continue supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.

This support will also be one of the key topics at the NATO summit, which will take place next week in Ankara, the ministry added.

This is stated in a statement from the German Foreign Ministry.

Germany has urged its citizens to leave Russia.

As a reminder, Russia has stepped up a new disinformationcampaign against Sumy.

Russian propaganda outlets claimed to have allegedly captured the village of Ivolzhanske in the Sumy region. At the same time, the Ukrainian side refutes these claims, emphasizing that the information about these “successes” is fabricated and does not correspond to reality. This was reported on June 24 by the Communications Center of the “Kursk” military group, citing Ukrainian military sources.

Russia will remaina threat to its neighbors even after Putin, according to Swedish intelligence.
