Air defense forces shot down 177 drones and nine missiles during the Russian attack
Since the evening of September 21, air defense forces have shot down 177 Russian drones, one “Kalibr” missile, and eight “Banderole” drones. Overall, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with these weapons throughout the night.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
According to the report, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, the enemy attacked Ukraine with “Onyx” anti-ship missiles from the Rostov region, “Iskander-M”/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Kursk, Rostov, and Voronezh regions, four “Kalibr” sea-launched cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea, eight “Banderola”/“Dan-T” cruise missiles from the airspace of the Belgorod region, 212 Shahed-class strike UAVs (including jet-powered ones) and “Parodia”-class decoy drones from the following directions: Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk, as well as Gvardeyskoye and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea).
The main targets of the attack were the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.
The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, air defense forces shot down or neutralized 186 targets: one “Kalibr” missile, eight “Banderole”/“Dan-T” missiles, and 177 drones.
Missile and strike UAV hits were recorded at 22 locations, and downed targets (debris) were found at four locations.

Earlier, Russia struck a Silpo distribution center in Odesa.
In addition, Russia attacked Kyiv with drones, resulting in casualties and destruction.
Overnight, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, and fires broke out in several regions.
