President Zelenskyy: FP-7 used in combat for the first time — The Guardian
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had used the FP-7 tactical ballistic missile in combat for the first time. In a post on Telegram, he thanked those involved for the result and said that the next stage would be production of the missile. The president did not specify where or how the FP-7 was used.
As The Guardian reports, missile manufacturer Fire Point says the FP-7 is being developed as an interceptor under Freyja, a European missile defense program launched this year.
FP-7 specifications
Ukrainian military analysts describe the FP-7 as a short-range missile with an estimated range of up to 200 kilometers. They compare it to the U.S. Army Tactical Missile System, ATACMS, noting that the Ukrainian development is expected to be significantly cheaper. Ukraine views the development of its own tactical ballistic missiles as one element of its response to Russia's regular use of such weapons.

Attacks on Kyiv and facilities in Russia
Meanwhile, the Russian Federation, an aggressor state, attacked Kyiv with drones. According to city authorities, one of the drones struck a school in the morning, but all students were in a shelter at the time, so there were no casualties. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that around noon, two drones struck the Pivdennyi Bridge. A later strike damaged a support, part of the road surface, and protective structures near the metro crossing over the bridge.
Zelenskyy also reported on Ukraine's overnight strike on an oil facility in Russia's Samara region. According to him, a Russian vessel in the Black Sea was hit, as well as a launch and storage site for attack drones in Russia's Oryol region. According to Ukrainian estimates, the strike campaign of recent months has put more than 45% of Russia's oil refining capacity out of operation.
